Loan Amounts
Get up to 100% of the cost of your graduate degree.
With a Grad PLUS student loan, you can get money to pay up to the full cost of your graduate degree. That means things like books and materials, not just tuition and program fees.
Each year, you can borrow up to the annual Grad PLUS limit. The Grad PLUS limit is your total cost of attendance, less any other financial aid you’ve received (like grants and Stafford loans).
If you don’t qualify for any other financial aid, Grad PLUS loans will let you take out the full cost of attendance. Since Graduate PLUS loans are non-need-based, as long as you meet the Grad PLUS eligibility requirements, you can qualify for Grad PLUS aid, no matter what your income is.
Besides tuition, the cost of attendance also includes other school-related expenses, such as program fees and educational materials, and a reasonable allowance for transportation and living expenses.
Your cost of attendance is determined by your school. You can usually find this information on the school’s website. Or you can always call your financial aid office.
